🛖At the address Mohorje 6, in the small village of Rob in southern Slovenia, just a 40-minute drive from Ljubljana, lies something truly special – a former village school built over a century ago, now lovingly transformed into a unique, multifunctional retreat. Under the name ELIAS 2069, the property now offers two spacious apartments, two art studios, a wood workshop, a Finnish sauna, and outdoor areas for relaxation and creativity.
🌳This is not your typical tourist accommodation – it’s a sanctuary for rest, imagination, creation, and deep reconnection with nature. Here you are surrounded by the sounds of the forest, the gentle flow of a stream, and infinite peace. Adjacent to the main house, you’ll find a children’s playground, a permaculture garden, a developing forest labyrinth, an outdoor stage, and a wellness zone in the making.
🌍The property’s location is also exceptional – at the crossroads of two major European hiking trails: E6 (from Finland to Turkey) and E7 (from the Atlantic to the Black Sea). What was once a gathering place for locals is now a refuge for guests from around the world seeking a space to unwind, dream, reflect, and feel alive in the embrace of wild nature.
🧘♀️If you're searching for a stay that goes beyond the ordinary – where you wake up to birdsong, fall asleep under the stars, and reconnect with yourself – ELIAS 2069 may be your next destination. Whether you're a family, artist, researcher, or traveler, there is a place here for you.
💞Behind ELIAS 2069 are Mala Kline and Gašper Puntar, dedicated creators and caretakers of the land, who live and work on the property with their son, Matija Zvezdan.
📖 Mala Kline is an acclaimed choreographer, philosopher, and author whose life work revolves around dreamwork, imagination, and personal transformation. She is a senior teacher of the Saphire® method at the School of Images. Her work has earned several prestigious awards, including the Golden Bird, Triton Awards, and the Ksenija Hribar Awards.
🌲 Gašper Puntar is an artisan rooted in nature. Trained in restoration, he is passionate about working with wood and natural materials. Gašper’s craftsmanship blends traditional techniques with a deep respect for the environment. At ELIAS, he is the master builder, shaping both interior and exterior spaces and currently developing an outdoor wellness area.
💭Together, Mala and Gašper received a 24-hectare farm as a gift, which they’ve transformed into a center for dreamwork, deep imagination, and children's discovery. Here, they host artist residencies, therapeutic retreats, and nature-based camps for youth.
✨Their story is one of devotion, courage, and harmony with nature – a story they continue to write with every guest who walks through their door.
🏞️The area surrounding ELIAS 2069 offers some of Slovenia’s most breathtaking natural and cultural treasures. A 20-minute walk along the stream by the house brings you to the pristine Iška River, a local gem with stunning surroundings, perfect for exploring alone or with a guide.
⛷️Just a 5-minute drive south takes you to the Bloke Plateau, a serene region with marked trails for hiking or horseback riding. Here you'll find Lake Bloke, where you can swim in summer or skate in winter. Towering above the plateau is Snežnik, the southernmost alpine peak in Slovenia, home to Snežnik Castle, which hosts the enchanting Floating Castle music festival each August.
🧙♀️About 30 minutes away by car lies the magical Lake Cerknica, a seasonal lake that appears and disappears throughout the year. Above it rises Mount Slivnica, once believed to be a gathering place for witches. For cave lovers, the Križna Cave is a must-see – one of the most beautiful and mysterious in the country, featuring underground lakes and a labyrinth of passages.
🚗Other famous sites are within easy reach too: Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle, and Škocjan Caves – all known internationally and offering unforgettable experiences.
🐎 This region is not just a destination – it’s an invitation to explore. Whether on foot or horseback, southern Slovenia has a way of surprising and enchanting everyone who visits.
