Cottage Slanica is located in a quiet cottage area Slanická Osada, in the north of Slovakia in the picturesque region of Orava near the town Námestovo. The cottage is an ideal place for families with children, for tourists, nature lovers and especially for those looking for a place to relax or have fun. Visitors will definitely be enchanted by the view of the Orava Dam with the famous Slanický Island of Art. The building has a fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table connected to a spacious living room with fireplace and exit to the terrace, which is surrounded by nature and in every season offers guests the opportunity to spend time in the real Orava fresh air. There are also 3 spacious rooms and two bathrooms with toilets. The equipment includes electric heating + fireplace, of course a kettle, grill as well as various board games for long evenings.
My name is Martin Vons and I live in Rabčice in the north of Slovakia. I am a student and a graduate of the first degree of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. I work in a family business that operates in the field of advertising.
The convenient location of the cottage offers lovers of nature and entertainment the opportunity for hiking, sports and relaxation in every season. Orava Dam, which is located just a short walk from the cottage offers during the summer months the opportunity to refresh, bathe, and for the brave also the opportunity to try water sports. An unforgettable experience is also a cruise around the dam with a subsequent visit to the famous Slanica Island of Art and the historic church. Fishermen as well as lovers of coffee and good food will definitely enjoy themselves, because we will find many restaurants, cafés and entertainment venues on the embankment of the Orava Reservoir. An integral part of Horná Orava are also the famous hills Babia Hora and Piľsko, which are an ideal place for tourists. If you decide to visit the area in one of the most famous places, the so-called Rio de Klin, where one of the tallest Statues of Christ in the world is located. We recommend coffee lovers to visit the Oravakafe coffee museum, families a visit to the Orava Railway, Ranch u Edy or Kinderland, and fun lovers various activities such as Escapeplan, LaserGame, bowling or Skate park.
