The picturesque village Podtureň is situated at the foot of the Low Tatras, about 5 km from Liptovský Mikuláš. Thanks to its excellent location, the Apartment over the restaurant is the ideal starting point for hiking and alpine tours in the Low, High and Western Tatras. You can enjoy your stay in the swimming pools of Thermal Raj Liptovský Ján (5 km), Aquapark Tatralandia (12 km) or Bešeňová (25 km). You can visit the Museum of the Liptov Village in Pribylina, where the exterior of Považská lesná železnice and houses from the flooded part of the Liptovská Mara reservoir are situated. In the nearby Liptovský Hrádok you can see the castle and the lake. For ski lovers as well as other winter sports, there are two quality ski resorts Opalisko Závažná Poruba or Jánska dolina - Javorovica Ski Center within 8 km. You are also skiing in the most sought-after ski resort in Slovakia, Jasná - Low Tatras.
