"BaanSongJum" . The meaning is House of Good Memories. Why's that? Because this house has a long histories of one gentleman from Shan State Burma. My grandfather who built this house
Hi my name is Parichart. Everyone calls me Nui. They said my real name is too long and difficult to pronounce. I used to lived and worked in Bangkok more than30 years. Now I am back to my hometown and I am stay at "Baan SongJum" , my birthplace. No one lives in this house for 4 years so I though I have to maintain and renovated this house.
Now I change private house to be Homestay for people who come to visit Chiangmai feel comfortable like stay with friend. Every guest can relax and take their breakfast when they wake up . And feel like they are in comfortable place and good feelings. The most attractive is our big garden which is full with big trees and many green plant. Mostly our trees are local fruits like longgan , mango, banana. All fruits attract many animals like bats, birds, squirrels and many insects. Not so many house has fruit trees in our area so lots of squirrels come to my place. It is routine for me to give fruits to all animals to eat when fruit is out of season. Some of them stay in the ceiling of the wooden house. So it is common to see squirrels run across the roofs or sound of many birds in the morning. Some of our guests said my place likes oasis or countryside in big city.
