Villa Abiente is set on a sunrise-view slope within the Baan Yamu estate on Cape Yamu – a lush headland with an intriguing mix of plantations, fishing villages and exclusive villa estates on Phuket’s peaceful east coast. Baan Yamu is found just across the road from a small beach with a pier used mostly by local fishermen and as a launching point for a few speedboat and kayak trips to nearby islands. Beautiful Phang Nga Bay beckons just offshore, with yacht charters and kayak tours departing daily from the nearby marinas, easily arranged with the villa manager. Excellent dining and wellness facilities are a short walk away within the estate, with a restaurant and bar, gym and Olympic-sized shared swimming pool all available for guests. A few minutes up the road is one of Phuket’s most celebrated restaurants, Breeze, which puts on a decadent Sunday brunch and is a coveted spot for sunset cocktails. For local seafood try Lay-Yamu restaurant, a simple, open-air dining spot on the seafront across the road from Baan Yamu.
