“喜歡它是有歷史故事的旅館，旅館服務人員（小管家）親自導游，帶領我們參觀了旅館過去的歷史痕跡，萬國戲院和翹嘴秋茶店仔，都很有趣！我自己騎脚踏車去了明華濕地生態園區，看了演給神明看的布袋戲，吃了炸的臭豆腐和豆漿豆花，淋了久別的雷雨；糖廠哪裏還沒來得及去，聽説有脚踏車步道，也許留給下次吧！ 旅館除了提供了免費的脚踏車供客戶使用！還有“大林慢城”雜誌，裏面收錄了大林過去的歷史照片和故事，也提到了現今有許多在地人熱愛自己的家鄉，在這個小鎮上重新建設和發展。”
