At Avek Homes, mornings are pure magic. You’ll wake up to the sight of Mount Kilimanjaro right from our porch, the sun slowly lighting up her snow-capped peak as you enjoy a fresh, home-prepared breakfast. The air here is cool and clean, and life moves at a gentle, easy pace.
The people of Uru Mawella are as warm as the morning sun. Greet them with a friendly “Jambo” in Swahili or try the local Chagga greeting “Shimoni shafo” — you’ll be rewarded with big smiles and maybe even a little chat about your day.
If you’re around on a Tuesday or Thursday, don’t miss the weekly auction at Uru Sokoni Kinyange. It’s a lively local market where you can pick up fresh fruit, vegetables, and spices at great prices — perfect if you want to try your hand at cooking with fresh Tanzanian ingredients.
When you’re ready to explore, there’s so much to do nearby: visit coffee farms, hike to hidden waterfalls, learn about Chagga traditions, or take a day trip to Kilimanjaro National Park. And when you return, you’ll find peace, fresh air, and that unbeatable mountain view waiting for you.
Here, you don’t just visit — you belong. 🌿
