Internet connectivity may also be temporarily affected during these times, but it usually resumes quickly once power is restored.

The Zanzibar government imposes an infrastructure tax of US$2 per person per night, which is payable directly at the property in cash upon check-in. This tax applies to both adults and children and is collected by the accommodation provider on behalf of the Zanzibar Revenue Board (ZRB).
