Neighbourhood information

Sakina is a new-build area on the slopes of Mount Meru in the northern part of town. Strategically placed just north of the main Nairobi-Moshi road, the area is ideal for a quick getaway to the nearby Kilimanjaro and Arusha national parks, the Ngorongoro conservation area, Lake Manyara and the Serengeti game reserve. There is a good supermarkets, and a number of places serving the traditional “nyama choma” (roasted meat) including “Trooper”, the local favourite.
