The Lion King Homestay property is a stately residence of upper middle class lifestyle of the African 80’s. With a colorful past of social celebrations and vibrant family life, the 4 bedroom dwelling glimpses wealthy trappings of a more than modest family home. Established in the 1980’s by a successful commodities importer and trader, The Lion King Homestay, was modern beyond its time boasting a built in kitchen, complete with cabinetry and benchtops, opening onto a brightly inviting dining space and an even more elegant, large open-living family space. These areas and surrounding balconies, patio areas, gardens and lawns are all available for guest use, please enjoy at your leisure.

Neighbourhood information

Enjoy the sounds of children laughing in the neighbourhood as they play their energetic games to the aromas of mamas preparing the evening meal (Chakula ) on their traditional outside cooking fires. Distant roosters across the rural edge of Moshi welcome the morning sun and on Sunday, the harmonies of nearby church choirs can be enjoyed. Occasional evenings we share the vibe of an African wedding celebration nearby, guests always welcome to join the fun and dance as only African’s can.
