About this property
Gorilla Safari Lodge is located on the boundary line of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwest Uganda, known for its biodiversity and large troops of mountain gorillas. The lodge offers accommodation in spacious and well-appointed cottages. With African decor, each unit is equipped with solar-powered lighting, en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water and flush toilets. Guests can enjoy views of the rainforest from the veranda, Meals are included and served at the main lodge, which also offers a bar and shared lounge area. A campfire is lit in the evenings. Baby sitting services are also available. Gorilla Safari Lodge also includes a spa centre and offers massage treatments. Guests can enjoy a drink at the on-site bar. The property also offers packed lunches and also welcomes walk ins. Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings, including canoeing and hiking. Gorilla Safari Lodge is an ideal base for gorilla trekking opportunities. On advance request, the lodge can arrange fully guided treks, forest walks to Bayenda Falls and bird watching. Car hire services or airport transfers with an experienced guide/driver are available at an added fee.

Please note that gorilla tracking requires a permit, which has to be bought in advance. Please get in contact with the lodge for details. Please note that all transport arrangements need to be arranged with Gorilla Safari Lodge in advance.
Please note that private charter flights can be arranged by the lodge from Entebbe to Kisoro Airstrip, located 75 minutes from the camp. There is also the options of a scenic, 4-hour road transfer from Kigali Airport in Rwanda, or a 8-9 hour drive by car from Kampala.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
