Company information

I enjoy sharing New Orleans with visitors. My family first lived on this corner of New Orleans a few years before my father was born in 1922. I enjoy visiting the National WWII Museum, which is 3 blocks from the cottage. My father was at the Battle of Monte Cassino in 1944. I am a West Point graduate and served in Vietnam with C-75 Airborne Rangers and the First Cavalry Division. We were both overseas at war when we were 22 years old, in a span of just 25 years.

Property information

This property has been in our family for many decades. It has just been completely renovated. The clawfoot tub is the original that has been restored. It has a shower with it. One guest thought the bed was so comfortable that she wanted to know the name of the mattress manufacturer. It has a full kitchen and a formal dining room. It has an outdoor patio. There are antique pieces of furniture that give the cottage a bit of character.

Neighbourhood information

The National WWII Museum is the top tourist attraction in New Orleans. It is rated by trip Advisor as fifth highest rated museum in the world, according to mentions of "Best Museum". The top 4 are the British Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Musee d'Orsay, and the Louvre Museum. To see the top four you must travel to or live in London or Paris. One can easily spend an entire day there, especially if you are a history buff. The cottage is 1.0 miles to the Convention Center, 1.3 miles to the Superdome, and 1.0 miles to the French Quarter. There are many wonderful places to eat in the area. Also Coliseum Park is 2 blocks away, a great place to walk, run or ride a bike.
