The property has 2 separate rentable buildings, the main house and the carriage house apartment above the detached garage (about 50 ft away across the driveway). Each has its own outdoor dining table and fire pit with seating. The patio with dining table and fire-pit area for this house is not within sight of the carriage house apartment, so you have plenty of privacy if guests are in the apartment. The property is 1.5 acres and guests are welcome to walk the grounds. The main house has 4 bedrooms with queen beds and then a sofa bed in the family room.
Originally from Montreal, Canada. Spent a few years traveling and living in different places & countries. UCONN alumni, and settled in Madison in 2003 where I've been a small business owner. We fell in love with this property the first time we saw it. The house was vacant for many years, so it was a labor of love updating & remodeling in the spring of 2021. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Come stay on the property closest to Hammonasset Beach State Park than any other in all of Madison!! Walk across the street to the Greenway Trail and stroll the 1 mile of gorgeous views to the beach or take a 1.5 mile walk to downtown Madison. Hammonasset Beach boasts 2 gorgeous miles of white sandy beach to relax, explore & enjoy!
