Welcome to our Mountain home with one of the most stunning views of the north carolina mountains. Enjoy morning coffee on deck and first floor balcony with incredible views of mountains and clouds. The new river water evaporates during the day and condenses in clouds during night, giving us a feeling that we are on the clouds. The sunrise and sunset creates a mesmerizing dance of color behind blue ridge and jefferson mountains. Evenings are best for enjoying your wine with sun illuminating mountains down below.
I am a professor of microbiology with research interests in HIV AIDS. I am also a motorcycle enthusiast and love riding my BMW RT and Ducati Multistrada. I ride solo when traveling long distances. My notable rides are Cris crossing and circling the entire US 4 times, visiting all national parks on the way. I have ridden to Alaska from North Carolina on Alcan. I rode from Key West to Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Goose Bay, and on Trans Labrador highway and back. I rode on Canadian highway 1 from Vancouver to Montreal, the entire length of BRP. Last summer, I rode in the Balkans, traveling thru 10 countries. I love camping, hiking and cooking. On occasions, I join my friends on hunting trips. My latest hobby is mushroom foraging.
