The soaring vaulted ceiling and high windows bring light and air into the living room, where contemporary furnishings and a large TV share space with a wood stove and the staircase to an upstairs loft. The kitchen has a pass-through window and a small breakfast bar—on the other side of the wall there’s all you’ll need to cook complete meals and serve them in the dining room. Through sliding doors you can enjoy a large deck furnished for meals or just kicking back and enjoying the ocean breeze. Two comfortable queen bedrooms share a hallway bath; up in the loft the kids will delight in two twin beds under the eaves and shelves full of books, games and toys, not to mention the fun of watching the adults from above. You’re on a nice wooded lot in a residential area off the beaten path, but it’s still an easy walk to the beach or the village.
