Accessing the cabin requires a 2.5-mile drive along a dirt road, which the county regularly plows after snowstorms. In the spring, summer, and fall, most vehicles can navigate the road without issue. However, during the winter or after heavy rain or snowfall, we strongly recommend using a 4x4 vehicle for added safety. While the road is generally manageable, it can be a bit bumpy, so a rugged vehicle is ideal for a smooth journey to your mountain retreat. Please note that cell service may be spotty along the way, so plan ahead. Drive slowly, stay centered on the road, and steer clear of snowbanks and oncoming traffic. If you have concerns about your vehicle or need an update on road conditions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us!
