In the cooler months, relax w/ the whole family or friends around a firepit or fireplace enjoying hot chocolate and s'mores. This home has over ten spaces for you to enjoy. Access the deck, grill, games, comfortable seating & BBQ. Take in all nature has to offer watching deer, bald eagles, birds & rabbits. In the warmer months (May-Sept), relax with the whole family or friends blocks from the beach where you can kayak, take a fishing charter for a few, grab something to eat or layout at the beach bar. Access the deck & grill outdoors, family games, BBQ & crab cakes. The beach bar pool is exclusively for boaters who own a boat and register their boat at least 72 hours prior to arrival. If you do not own a boat and will not be bring a boat with you, you can access the Shanty Beach Bar, the Beach and restaurants but not the pool. The pool is open weekends only starting Friday at 3pm-11pm, Saturday 12pm-11pm and Sunday 12pm-6pm. You are: 2 minute walk to the Beach (Weekend Access May 15th-Sept. 15th) 3 minute drive to Ramp 10 minute drive to Spring Cove & Rock Hall Landing Marina 12 minute drive to Washington College and Great Oak Manor 15 minutes Betterton Beach daily 20 minutes Eastern Park (Kayak here) & Worton State-of-the-Art Olympic Size Pool *Only well trained dogs under 55 pounds are allow at this facility. No cats allowed or animals of any type allowed.
I love playing games, enjoying water sports, and having family and friends over for a BBQ. When I am not doing that, I love to read or listen to a good book for my personal and spiritual development.
You can access the Shanty less than five minutes walk away at the beach, you can drop your boat or onsite kayaks near the boat ramp. Enjoy the Tolchester Beach Marine with a private fishing charter or layout on the sandy beach and listen to live music on the weekends. A short 10 minute drive you can access Spring Cove Marina where you can rent a boat for 4 to 8 hours for your group. Washington College is a short 12 minute drive away if you are in town to support your student festivities or back to school registration. Enjoy the farmers market every Saturday morning. Best to have a car at this location although the beach and two restaurants are within walking distances but the restaurants are only open during the weekend. Outside of the immediate community; there is the Spring Cove Marina just 10 minute away by car or 30 minutes away by bike with shops and restaurants.
