A cozy place right on the waters of Casco Bay to come relax, recharge and reconnect with family and friends. Steps from the beautiful rocky Maine coast, with a great view of sunrise and moonrise. Bring your morning coffee out on the deck to watch the lobster boats pulling traps, and enjoy the peace of being away from it all. After dinner watch the moon rise and listen to the waves lapping on the shore. It is a magical spot to stay. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We have just added a new window mounted air conditioner in the window nearest the wood stove on the south wall! We have not taken new photos yet, but it should be plenty to cool the whole place and is pointed toward the bedroom to help with air flow. This should take care of those hot summer days where it is too warm inside, and not enough breeze to cool things off naturally.
The house has been in our family for many years, we are opening it up to share the beautiful with others. We are working with David Johnson as our property manager who will take great care of you for your visit.
House is in the woods on the Maine coast, down a dead end dirt road with little traffic. Plenty of walking / hiking opportunities near by, also a protected beach in Lowell's cove a short walk away for launching sea kayaks, paddle boards, or getting small kids in the water. There are restaurants nearby for a treat out, and a general store on Bailey Island, or full market 20 minutes back into Brunswick.
