Blue Heron is located on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain, just 45 minutes from New Orleans. It is conveniently located in Old Mandeville within walking distance of all the local hotspots, including the lakefront, Tammany Trace Biking/Walking Trail, Dew Drop Jazz and Social Hall, the Pontchartrain Yacht Club, restaurants, shops, farmers markets and more.
Blue Heron is owned and operated by Northshore natives Steven and Sarah Federer. Steven is a former restaurateur, and Sarah is a natural health and wellness educator and second-generation B&B owner. They are passionate about making Blue Heron feel like a home away from home for their guests, and their Southern hospitality is evident from the moment you arrive on the property.
We are conveniently located in beautiful, historic Old Mandeville within walking distance of all the area's restaurants, bars and recreational outlets, including the Tammany Trace, Mandeville Lakefront, Fontainebleau State Park & more. Leave your car & your cares at home! ​
