Nestled in Valley of the Sun, a peaceful region in the high country south of Breckenridge and north of Fairplay, CO. If the mountains are calling, this retreat is your answer. We are central to most of the best hiking, skiing, and rafting destinations in Summit Park and Lake county. One of the best things about staying at Bristlecone is that you can visit so many world class ski destinations within a short drive. We're just 40 min to Breckenridge and and average of 90 min to five other resorts without touching I-70's notorious ski traffic! You will need a car. Our roads are maintained by the county. They are rocky in the summer and plowed in the winter. We recommend you bring a 4x4 or AWD vehicle (at the very least). During winter, 4WD is essential!
