Enjoy the desert in our bright&spacious home close to all attractions (JT-Nat. Park, Pionier Town, Rim Rock, Pappy's). Views of the mountains and city lights, our desert garden, a cosy patio and privat pool (season: May-October), a comfortable kingsize bed will make your stay memorable. Perfect for KIDS with lots of toys & books (happy kids, happy parents)! Exceptional desert hikes right behind the house, up the hill. We are not located in the "open" desert; Downtown YV 5 min down the hill! Our home is cozy and decorated with an eye for design and an appreciation for music, art, fashion and cooking, comfortably fits 3 adults a kid and a toddler (crib). 4 adults are possible if you are comfortable with 1 adults sleeping in the kids room or 2 adults in the 2nd bedroom (The size of the pull out sofa-bed in the second bedroom is 150-200 cm, 75 x 55 inch. ) Enjoy the private patio w/ barbecue & SOLAR heated pool - set up for outdoor living and relaxing. !!! PLEASE keep in mind that the temperature of a SOLAR heated pool depends on the WEATHER/SUN. The normal pool temperature in Mai/September is between 60 - 75 degrees !!! But: we can not guarentee a "warm" pool! Listen to our various CD-Collection, play the piano, enjoy the great fully equipped kitchen ... The master bedroom comes with king size bed (and crib), 2nd bedroom with modern pull-out sofa (75x55 inch, new matress!) & the kids room with single bed (40 x 80 inch). Enjoy the living room with a wood burning fireplace, piano, the design kitchentable with 5 famous tulip chairs of Eero Saarinen and HighSpeed Intenet. We do have a TV for Netflix but DON'T have REGULAR TV channels or cable. Air/Heating system for a year round comfort! Happy you decided to stay at our house. I am a Yoga Instructor and Musician and a happy traveller whose home bases are Yucca Valley CA and Graz, Austria. My ideal guests will be quite self sufficient but friendly and open to sharing a bit about themselves. I think that would also describe me as a guest and a host. My ideal place to stay is comfortable but not too fancy; and that is also what I offer as a host. A really comfortable (king size) bed, a nice kitchen to prepare some good meals, privacy and central location - that is what I am looking for when I travel - that is what I offer my guests. Our neighbours or management will be here for you if anything unexpected happens!
The house is in the Center of all the high desert attractions you might want to visit. 9 miles from Joshua Tree National Park, 7 miles from the town of Joshua Tree with its terrific restaurants, 6 miles from Pappy&Harriet's and Pioneer Town. Yucca Valley (down the hill) has excellent grocery stores (Stater Bros, Vons) to pick up whatever you will need and fabolous restaurants. If you want a side trip we recommend Palm Springs (40 miles) or Twenty Nine Palms.
