Coast Inn at Lake Hood, is a short walk away to watch float planes take on and off from one of the busiest seaplane bases in the world. In the winter the frozen lake serves as a frozen runway for planes with skis. Befitting to its location the hotel is decorated in Alaska Bush Pilot memorabilia and historic photography that the Alaska Aviation Museum next door shares with them. We have monthly specials that coincide with the season, Alaskan local favorites, and traditional native food. In the summer the deck is open and overlooks Lake Hood, where you can watch the planes land and take off right in front of you. The hotel has everything you need; from the fitness center, laundry machines, complimentary wi-fi, over 6,000 square feet of meeting space, computer stations for printing boarding passes, and the most needed on-demand courtesy airport shuttle available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, no reservation required. If you need to park and fly out, our partner Alaska Park is next door ready to serve you, and is who handles our courtesy shuttle. Capstone Clinic is located in the same building as Alaska Park to provide you with Covid testing needs.
