Neighbourhood information
The town of Whitefish dates back to 1905 when the Great Northern Railway arrived in Flathead Valley, bringing miners and loggers. Today, it's a year-round destination for epic skiing, hiking, fly-fishing—and even dog sledding. Of course, the majesty of Glacier National Park is only 19 miles away. Many visitors still arrive in Whitefish by train, just as they did over a century ago. Now, however, they find a vibrant town with outfitters, restaurants, breweries, and a farmers market, making it the perfect home base for adventure. Fly through Winter woodlands by dog sled, fish trout-rich rivers, and hike epic alpine landscapes. Big Mountain Ski Resort is 15 minutes away, offering spectacular skiing and riding nestled on 4,000 acres of the Northern Rockies.
Big Mountain
Big Mountain is home to Whitefish Mountain Resort—one of the finest ski destinations in the Rockies. In the Summer months, Big Mountain becomes a mecca for alpine hikers, mountain bikers, and naturalists. Our collection of vacation homes includes ski-in/ski-out condos, townhomes, lodges, and chalets. Amenities abound. After the perfect day on the slopes, soak in a hot tub under a star-filled sky or gather with friends and family around a crackling fire.
