Lovely newer home in a private rural wooded setting, you're sure to have a fun and relaxing stay. Fresh clubby decor will appeal to your group, whether you are golfing at world famous Erin Hills Golf Course, or attending a wedding or shower at one of the nearby venues. Hike or cycle through the Upper Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin, or climb the tower at Holy Hill Basilica to take in the fall colors or celebrate Mass. Take in the sights of nearby Milwaukee, the Art Museum's Burke Brise Soleil by Calatrava, a brewery tour, Bucks or Brewers Game, or find the Bronze Fonz. Take a day trip to Chicago or Green Bay.
Welcome to our vacation rental home, built in 2019 by our friend, a master carpenter and outdoorsman. Dave and I (Eddi) are recently retired, and enjoy travel, both internationally and throughout the US. Ashley and Taylor are parents of young children and work in an inner city ministry and family business. They love sports, country life, hiking and the outdoors. We decided, together, to turn their outgrown home into an ideal getaway, both for location and the amenities we love in every holiday home we rent.
We are as close as you can get to Erin Hills Golf Course without staying in their usually sold out lodging. Plus, our home is very private, on a quiet country road, surrounded by woods. The large open field across the road is perfect for cross country skiing and snowmobiling. We have maps of local cycling trails, both on road and off, plus hiking. We love our local restaurants, whether a local pub or a farther trip for something really special. Plus, we are on the edge of Lake Country, and we can help you find fishing or boating opportunities in the area. Milwaukee's summer season is short and packed with festivals, as well as MLB Brewer Games. Nearby Oconomowoc is home to the Lake Country Dock Hounds, a minor league family favorite baseball team. Want more world class golf? Whistling Straits, Sand Valley and Blackwolf Run are within 2 hours. Make a week of it!
