Welcome to the Bear Lodge! Located in the Lower Catskills, the cabin is a short 90 minutes from NYC, and is centrally located to all kinds of outdoor activities. There are easy walking trails through the woods within walking distance, as well as Rails-to-Trails paths, the Neversink River, and dozens of lakes nearby.
The cabin is located in a small residential enclave in the middle of the woods that used to be called Davos. You can park in the driveway at Bear Lodge, or on the street side. There is never a problem with parking vehicles. At the far end of 16 Aspen Lane, you will find some nice easy walking trails that lead through the surrounding forests. Walking the other way, you can head to downtown Woodridge about 2 miles away, where you can find a couple of small restaurants, a tiny grocery store, a laundromat, and seasonal shops. Heading 5 miles by car to Rock Hill is the closest place to get food, groceries, gas, a little night life. You can also head to Fallsburg or South Fallsburg for the same.
