Company information

Hello! We are your host's; Steve and Paige Douglas. We have known each other since we were seven years old. We have three wonderful kids and are deeply immersed in the Heber Valley area. We love to travel and to make new friends. We would be pleased to show you our beautiful B&B and introduce you to some of the highlights of the Heber Valley.

Property information

The Honorable Joseph R. Murdock built this 9000 sqft, 12 bedroom home in 1902 for his wife Margaret and their eleven children. Mr. Murdock was a prominent member of the community as he owned a local dairy farm, the mercantile and the local bank. Mr. Murdock also served as the mayor of Heber City for nearly ten years and later he became a Utah State Senator. He built this home using many of the same craftsman and types of materials which were used in the construction of the LDS Temple and Tabernacle in Salt Lake City.

Neighbourhood information

The Heber Valley is recognized as one of the top four-seasons recreation area in the United States. With four ski resorts, three lakes, hundreds of miles of trail riding, blue ribbon trout fishing and Utah's only warm-water scuba diving all within minutes of us, Heber is Utah's backyard activity destination. Throw in local arts and cultural events such as the Sundance Film festival, Swiss Days festival, Cowboy Poetry event, the sheepdog festival and much more. All this, combined with magnificent dining options and you will see why the Heber Valley is "Utah's backyard playground".
