His grandmother, Etta Egeland, founded the Historical Museum here…a must see to learn about early life in this slice of paradise. If you are looking for a home setting this is the place to start. This property is located in the Historic District 2 blocks from the heart of Friday Harbor. The Peter Jensen House house built in 1895 for Peter Jensen and his new bride Hanna. The Jones cabin was built in the 1920's. We remodeled the entire property over a 3 year period completing the Jones cabin in July 2016. The cabin is named after Jimmy Jones who lived in the cabin for over 20 years. His sister and family owned and lived in the main house. Jimmy worked every year to make sure that local children of families in need always had Christmas gifts. He was a site around town with his Santa Hat on and his red bucket asking for donations for these children and families.
