Company information

Pansy's Parlor has been a family owned and operated business for 20 years. The owner, Judy Bauer-Early has recently retired and her daughter-in-law, Rebecca Bauer has taken over hosting and day to day running of the business.

Property information

Our home was built in 1879 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The original owners, Thomas & Mary Gow, were friends with prominent Wild West figure, Buffalo Bill Cody. Thomas Gow’s brother, James, was a talented architect responsible for the Armory Building which is the largest cobblestone building in the US. It is located one block over, on 13th and Arapahoe and is currently home to Cafe 13.

Neighbourhood information

We are located in the 12th Street historic district, one block up from Washington Ave., the main street that runs through Downtown Golden. That is where you will find many restaurants, bars and locally owned shops. We are a few short blocks from Clear Creek hiking & biking trail, the Rec Center with a pool, sauna, pickle ball and a full gym, the public library, Golden History Museum, the School of Mines Geology Museum and much more. There are at least 4 coffee shops within a 3 block radius as well as the Golden City Brewery.
