Our classic Vermont log cabin sits on 15 private acres of woodland, just steps from the Battenkill River. It’s our family home when we’re in the U.S., so it’s thoughtfully equipped for a genuinely comfortable stay, more like borrowing a friend’s place than a bare-bones rental. Wake to birdsong, stroll shaded paths down to the river, and spend your days outside; come evening, settle into a warm, wood-toned space that feels instantly welcoming.
This is an ideal four-season basecamp. In warmer months you can fly-fish or paddle the Battenkill, cycle quiet country roads, mountain bike regional trails, hike to waterfalls, or swim at nearby lakes. When the snow arrives, bring your skis, boards, or snowshoes, alpine resorts and Nordic centers are close by, and our acreage becomes a peaceful winter playground. Back at the cabin there’s a well-stocked kitchen for easy meals, cozy corners for reading, and plenty of space to unwind after a day out. Private, peaceful, and close to everything Southern Vermont offers, this is the kind of place where you exhale the moment you arrive.
Hello from Nick and Rena! We’ve spent years exploring the world, but our hearts keep bringing us back to this little gem of a log cabin in southern Vermont. Nature has always been our playground, we’re happiest kayaking the Battenkill, pedaling along River Road (one of Vermont’s most beautiful rides), or hiking deep into the Green Mountains.
When we’re not in Vermont, we split our time between the U.S. and Europe, balancing our professional lives with plenty of family adventures. We recently welcomed our first child and love sharing the outdoors with her, every season here offers something special, from snowy winter trails to golden autumn hikes, spring wildflowers, and long summer evenings by the river.
Our cabin is more than a getaway; it’s our home when we’re stateside, thoughtfully prepared so you can relax the moment you arrive. We hope you’ll feel the same sense of peace and wonder that we do every time we return.
