Beautiful B&B and very cosy. Great selection of coffee and tea. The best breakfast we had in all of New England. Good location in a nice town.

The least fun part of our stay was leaving. What a tremendous hospitality. Gwenda makes a breakfast you won’t easily forget. We had the captains room with a beautiful view.

The owner kept the rooms charming and bright. She served us full course of breakfast as good as five star hotels. She answered all my questions about where to eat where to visit in detail. Great place and great hostess.

Thank you to Gwenda's kindness. It's very rare for service to be so personalized. We weren't able to try the famous breakfast, but Gwenda prepared a "to go" snack for us. It was delicious. We felt safe and the house is welcoming and beautiful.

Upon entering the Pryor House B&B, you are greeted by a comfortable elegance. Just inside the door, a unique double staircase, unusual in a Federal Colonial of this time period, welcomes guests. A quiet night's sleep awaits, along with a breakfast you will not want to miss in the morning! Free WI/FI included.
Originally from Pennsylvania, the innkeepers moved to Maine in 1999, to begin their venture as innkeepers. Don, a previous youth pastor and Gwenda, a social worker, were looking for career changes and decided to settle in Midcoast Maine. Inn keeping has been a delightful experience for them, and they thoroughly enjoy meeting new people!
Located in the Historic District, the Pryor House B&B, has a view to the Kennebec River. Just several blocks from the downtown area, it is an easy and convenient walk to restaurants and shopping.
