Communication with Abe the owner was outstanding. He was a great host and help us get camping supplies to and out of the cabin. Site. Super beautiful camp site. The canopy of trees kept the camp site 10 degrees cooler than in nearby Bayfield.

First time glamping. They have a lot of things that you may have forgotten to bring. I was pleasantly surprised. Loved the lights and the fan if I needed it. I brought bug spray. Don't forget yours!

Sailor Springs Glamping (Hike-In Camping Sites)
Sailor Springs is a small three-site campground located just two miles outside of the picturesque tourist town of Bayfield, WI. 2023 was our first year of operation and we’re excited to host campers on the property and provide a unique camping experience. The campground is spread out over 5 acres of forest on Bresette Hill Road. After parking at the trailhead, you’ll gather your bags and hike into your glamping site. The trail winds through the woods, leading you first to a valley where the seasonal Clark Creek runs through in the spring. The first two campsites are on the other side of this valley. The trail can be steep in spots and requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility to reach the secluded campsites. The third site is a bit farther into the forest, the little A-frame cabin, Anchor sits on the edge of the spring-fed Brickyard Creek that flows year-round. You will earn your peace and quiet immersed in nature.
The Clarks moved to Bayfield, WI in 2019 from Orcas Island, WA and have since become actively involved in the community. In 2021, Abe started True North Sailing Charters with his brother Josh, and in 2022, Kate opened Penny Print Studio. Both businesses cater to the tourism market and local residents of all ages. At Sailor Springs, we hope to create a peaceful place where guests can spend the night in a unique and memorable way that adds to their Lake Superior adventure! By staying with us you are directly supporting our family and that goal.
True North Sailing Charters, owned and operated by Abe and his brother Josh, is committed to providing guests with a unique and safe Apostle Islands sailing experience. We offer sailing adventures departing from our commercial slip in Bayfield, WI. Guests can choose to help hoist the sails or sit back and relax as we navigate the gorgeous waterways of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands under sail. We recommend booking your trip early as our boats fill up quickly! You may also have the opportunity to meet our two other friendly captains, Captain West and Captain Dusty, during your adventure. We look forward to helping create magical moments with you and sailing into the sunset! Celebrate and Support Ojibwe Culture During Your Visit: We Recognize. We Honor. Sailor Springs Glamping property is on the traditional lands of the Ojibwe. Following a migration from the east, the Ojibwe lived on what is now known as Madeline Island and other areas surrounding Lake Superior. In the 1800s, the Ojibwe were forcibly removed to the Red Cliff and Bad River reservations. As descendants of early settler imperialism, we take responsibility in acknowledging the original inhabitants of this land, acknowledging the violent colonial history resulting in the displacement of the Ojibwe from their homes, and acknowledging their ongoing resistance. 1 mile away - Red Cliff Fish Co. - Wild caught in the pristine waters of Lake Superior 2 miles away + Ferry - Miijim Resturant - Native American Indigenous Cuisine
