Sorrento cottage - located in a quiet fishing village, this 2BR/2BA home overlooks peaceful Sorrento harbor with incredible views and is a 1-min walk to Town Dock! Located on the Schoodic Peninsula, this home is only 14 mins to Quiet Side of Acadia.
Serenity by The Sea has two spacious living areas, a sunroom, and a waterfront deck.
LIVING AREA Picture windows flood the main living area with ample natural light and offer amazing harbor views. Unwind and watch a movie on the 50” flat-screen TV. Or enjoy a book or game in the cozy seating area, furnished with a love seat, chairs and game table. Sip morning coffee in the lovely sunroom, equipped with abundant window seating. Downstairs, a second living area offers additional sleeping on the queen futon, and a flat-screen TV.
BED & BATH This two-story home sleeps up to six guests between the two bedrooms and a futon in the second living area. The master bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, a twin daybed with a twin trundle, and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. A sunny bay window offers a wonderful place to take in the harbor views. A second bedroom offers a queen bed. The adjacent guest bathroom is configured with a walk-in shower.
KITCHEN & DINING Whip up meals in the large well-equipped kitchen that features a full suite of appliances, drip coffee maker and ample counter space. When you are ready to dine, gather at the table for six while enjoying the views.
AMENITIES & DETAILS Complimentary Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer, and driveway parking for 1 car, with additional off-street parking, are provided. This rental does not have air-conditioning. The entry to this two-story home is accessed via a flight of exterior stairs

OUTDOOR AREA A spacious front deck is the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. Watch the lobster and sailboats travel through the harbor, the tides change, and observe the various sea birds.
You are going to love sitting on the roof deck for morning coffee or evening cocktails. There are unsurpassed views and it's the perfect spot to watch eagles hunt for their dinner. At night, you have unobstructed views to watch for shooting stars.
Sorrento is very conveniently located. A short drive up the peninsula to Coastal Route 1 takes you to several great restaurants and a quaint general store. 14 miles to Ellsworth, for plenty of shops and dining options. This is the gateway to Acadia National Park (Bar Harbor is about 30 miles) and 14 miles in the opposite direction is the Schoodic Peninsula entry to Acadia. This is known as the quiet side of Acadia, which offers breaTHE LOCATION The Historic village of Sorrento was developed as a summer community for the wealthy in the mid 1880s. It is now a true hidden gem in Down East Maine. A very desirable, secluded community offering spectacular views of Bar Harbor and the mountains of Mount Desert Island. Sorrento’s 9 -hole public golf course is a rare jewel on the rugged Maine coast, echoing the more storied layouts of St. Andrews and Royal Troon, Scotland. The open, links-style course offers exquisitely manicured bent grass greens and stunning views of Flanders Bay. Bring your kayak (or rent one) and explore the densely forested Preble Island -- located directly across the harbor -- known for its cobble beaches and roosting eagles. Or discover the many nearby islands. Other local activities include biking, boating, fishing, and bird watching. htaking views as well as a ferry to Bar Harbor, to avoid traffic.
