This 1920's cottage is on Bunker's Harbor in Birch Harbor. We are located on a working waterfront where you will see the boats leave early in the morning to haul their traps and return in the late afternoon with the days catch. You can sample the fruits of their labor at the onsite restaurant Bunkers Seafood and Spirits!
I am a life long native of the Schoodic Peninsula and the Maine fishing community. Lobstering here in Maine has been in my family for generations. My teenage daughter is a 9th generation fisherman and fishes with my dad who is in his 80's!!! While I still enjoy the occasional day at haul with my dad I am also a dental hygienist here in Maine as well as a small business owner.
There are not enough words to describe the beauty of this area! From sunrise to sunset the Schoodic Peninsula is breathtaking!! We have lots to do from hiking and biking to visiting the local winery and bell foundry! You are surrounded by lots of places to eat and shop while here on the Peninsula. Bunker's Seafood and Spirits it the onsite restaurant serving local seafood and other delights for lunch and dinner Tuesday - Saturday 12-8pm.
