This is NOT a hotel and we do charge a cleaning fee in addition to the nightly fees. I apologize that Booking does not disclose this up front. This IS a mid-Century Modern condo built in 1960 & updated over years. It oozes style & reflects our investment in a greener earth: natural gas, exposed foam injected block walls, custom steel fences & gates, stained concrete floors, desert plants + artificial grass + modern appliances have reduced water 600,500 gallons a year! Home features a new kitchen w/ quartz counter tops & back splash, exotic stone island (reclaimed), industrial style skylights & custom down lighting. Walk, bike or two minute Uber ride to many wonderful restaurants and bars.
Hi, I'm a native Phoenician and single Dad of an AMAZING boy and a Berne doodle pup. I have owned this property for over twenty years and have never really stopped improving it all this time. I LOVE living here and I truly enjoy hosting our guests. My son and I enjoy walking Friday nights for dinner at Jordan's Mexican Restaurant at the end of the street (literally ten doors down) and picking up an Uncle Biff's cookie afterward. We also enjoy walking to breakfast at Otro on weekends and checking out the other restaurants in the area. My hosting style is VERY hands off except for those guests who want to chat and socialize. In general we offer contactless entry, using August automated door locks with unique entry codes that Booking and August assign to our guests before check-in. This way guests can check-in without meeting anyone and enjoy there stay in peace. However, I live on property so if you need anything I am very accessible. While new to this platform I have hosted since December 2018 and have had a really wonderful experience so far. Come check us out! :-)
Food lovers will appreciate the location only 9 doors down from the northern edge of the popular 7th Street Restaurant Row. Recommendations here include high-end Italian cuisine at Christo's, American fare at Culinary Dropout, Mexican dishes at Otro, cocktails and music at The Womack, cocktails and good eats at Bevvy Uptown and so much more. While most of these haunts are walkable they do sit on a major street so you might find catching a Lyft to be more comfortable. But my son and I do often walk so it is very doable.
