Welcome to this charming and peaceful house located in the woods of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. This seven-acre wooded property features a spacious layout, modern amenities, and a convenient location. It is a perfect get-away home to enjoy Raystown Lake Recreation, hunting, hiking, fishing, water skiing, swimming or simply relaxing by the fire in the heart of the great outdoors.

This secluded property is your personal space during your stay. There will likely be no face-to-face interaction. However, we are only a phone call or text away if you need us or if you have any issues, problems, or questions. If there is any need for physical assistance, Damion, my co-host/caretaker/maintenance, guy is close by.

My father, Charles "Charlie" Brooks, purchased this property over fifty years ago. In 1973 Hurricane Agnes ripped through Pennsylvania flooding towns and villages. After the emergency housing was no longer needed, Charlie purchased this mobile home from FEMA. It was the most basic mobile home you could imagine. The property's location in the woods and so close to Raystown Lake made it the go-to, hunting and fishing, place for his family of eight children. Over the years, we added the porch and again later added a much larger porch. Little by little we upgraded each and every thing in the place. In 2020 we reimagined the place and renovated everything with new modern equipment, furniture, and everything down to the bones of the place. We brought the place into the 21st century with a flat-screen TV, WiFi , drilled a new well, added a water filtration system, all new plumbing, new floors, new doors, security cameras, a smart thermostat, smart locks, and repaired and painted everything. The result is this beautiful vacation home, brushed into the forest and aged, like a fine wine. The property has become a vacation destination year-round with the leaves turning in the fall, the snow falling in the winter, the blossoms in the spring and the cool mountain Lake Raystown refreshing on the hot summer days. I am so proud of this Gem in the woods. I know that Charlie is dancing in heaven, knowing that his tiny slice of land has become a little paradise on earth. I want to share it.
