Enjoy this fully furnished gorgeous studio apartment near downtown Anchorage. The Pioneer unit is part of a tri-plex and is in one of Anchorage’s oldest neighborhoods (South Addition). Enjoy the convenience of walking to New Sagaya Market and Kaladi Brothers Coffee. Within walking distance or a short cab ride to many of Anchorage’s best restaurants. The Pioneer unit was fully remodeled in May of 2021. The Pioneer is ideal for short term vacation travelers, business professionals attending conferences and short term assignments, and traveling medical professionals. Located less than 5 miles from both Alaska Regional and Providence Hospitals. Amenities included: • Full size refrigerator • Four burner glass top stove • Dishwasher • Microwave • 12 cup drip coffee maker • Toaster • Washer / Dryer (In Complex) • Sauna • Off street parking (1) • Additional on street parking
My grandparents built this home in 1971. They built it with Finnish design. Our family is 4th generation Alaskans. My Great Grandparents help build the Alcan Highway. My Grandfather, Art Reinikka was the Chief/Deputy Engineer overseeing building Elmendorf with the USACE Corp on Elmendorf AFB in the 1940's. He was also the President of the Pioneers of Alaska and very active in the development of city of Anchorage. We enjoy Alaska and raising our family here.
South Addition is a residential neighborhood with 1930s and ’40s homes built in eclectic architectural styles, from log houses to Cape Cod cottages. The area’s many green spaces include Delaney Park Strip, the city’s first airfield, with a rose garden and memorials, and Margaret Eagan Sullivan Park, which lines a large lagoon. Overlooking Cook Inlet, the Coastal Trail is a popular paved cycling and running path.
