Tucked away on nine private acres of forest in the Catskills, this modern rustic cabin offers a peaceful retreat just minutes from the Delaware River. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a cozy fireplace, and stylish open-concept interiors bring the outdoors in. Outside, enjoy forest-facing decks, a stargazing rooftop, a fire pit, and direct access to nature trails. The cabin comfortably sleeps 6–8 and is ideal for couples, small groups, or solo travelers seeking stillness and beauty. A grand piano adds a unique artistic touch, while fast Wi-Fi and a dedicated fitness nook—with a Peloton bike, dumbbell set, yoga mat, and foam roller—let you stay energized and connected. Located between Barryville and Pond Eddy, the home offers easy access to scenic hikes, river rafting, ski slopes, zip lining, farm markets, and charming small towns filled with antique shops, cafes, and wineries. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the deck as deer wander by or ending your night with s’mores under the stars, this peaceful cabin offers an unforgettable mountain escape. Dog-friendly (with fee) and designed for adults seeking rustic luxury, serenity, and inspiration.
Hi there! I’m a classical pianist, piano instructor, and (dabbling) screenwriter who splits time between Manhattan and the mountains—basically toggling between subway noise and birdsong. When I’m not at the piano or glued to a laptop, I’m likely hiking, stargazing, or wondering how many throw pillows is too many (the limit does not exist). My partner and I love hosting because it lets us share a place that feels like a true retreat: peaceful, thoughtfully designed, and just luxurious enough to make you say, “Okay, I could get used to this.” We’ve tried to create a space that balances rustic charm with modern comfort—where you can unplug without giving up strong coffee, fast Wi-Fi, or a Peloton. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend, a solo recharge, or a getaway with friends, we’re honored to welcome you. We hope you’ll sleep deeply, breathe easier, and leave feeling a little more human.
Our cabin is located in the quiet hamlet of Pond Eddy NY, nestled near Barryville along the Delaware River in the western Catskills. Guests love how peaceful and remote it feels—yet you’re just minutes from some of the region’s best outdoor adventures and charming small towns. Start your day with coffee on the deck, then head into Barryville (a 5-minute drive) for farm-fresh breakfast, vintage shops, and one of the best farmer’s markets in the Catskills (Saturdays, May–Oct). For lunch or dinner, try The Heron in Narrowsburg or The Laundrette for wood-fired pizza with river views. Want to keep it casual? The Stickett Inn’s cider tasting room hits the spot. The Delaware River is a huge draw—perfect for canoeing, kayaking, tubing, or simply lounging along its banks. Kittatinny Adventures offers rentals and guided trips nearby. Hikers will enjoy the nearby trails in Minisink Battleground Park or a scenic drive to Mongaup Pond and the Tusten Mountain Trail. In the fall, this area is stunning with vibrant foliage and crisp mountain air. In winter, skiing and snow tubing are within driving distance, and the cabin becomes the perfect après-ski hideaway. Year-round, the night skies are incredible—some of the best stargazing in the state thanks to minimal light pollution. If you’re up for exploring, check out local galleries, flea markets, live music venues (Bethel Woods, the Og Woodstock!), and hidden antique stores. Or just do what most guests do—slow down, breathe deep, and let the woods work their magic.
