Welcome to the Wanderer Studio at Black Diamond Mine Bed and Butter! Our PARTIALLY OFF-GRID property is committed to preserving the environment. This cozy 250 sq ft room is equipped with all the amenities you need for a weekend getaway, it’s suitable for a single or two adults, three may feel a little tight. This unique space is not a city hotel it is a quiet mountain retreat to experience sustainable living and natural beauty!

Monique & Brady are Louisiana natives that came to Colorado in 2018 to live out their dreams! They purchased the Black Diamond Mine Ranch in 2020 & have been making improvements to the property since.

We are an independent guesthouse studio. We live on the property. The drive is on a mountainous gravel road! We highly recommend you consider your personal driving skills and vehicles capabilities when booking this property. When you drive up 4 mile road you’ll get to Black Diamond Mine Rd. You’ll drive up the dirt/gravel road for about a 1/2 mile! Once you see the road narrows 15 mph sign the property begins. The BIG RED BARN ON THE RIGHT, is where your studio will be! It is extremely dark after once the sun goes down and we don’t like to disturb the wildlife so there is limited lighting! We highly recommend checking in during day light, before 8pm! (We can leave your porch light on if you communicate with us) We have wildlife everywhere and plenty of land to explore. We are partially off grid! We are on a snow packed road during winter with up to 9% grade. We are located on Sunlight Mountain and the ski resort is only 6 miles up the road. Hotsprings are located just 12 minutes away. Close enough to town to get what you need and far enough out to enjoy the quiet mountain life. With breathtaking views of Mount Sopris this property is a must see!
