The Wharf Master's Inn is pleased to offer our guests options in four distinct buildings. Our Spectacular Lookout building features 6 newly renovated suites with panoramic ocean views, including guest favorite, the Victorian Suite. The Superior Port building also has ocean views and a cozy interior. Our Cypress and Romantic and Peaceful buildings offer rooms with either partial ocean views or views of the courtyard, including 3 newly renovated pet-friendly rooms. There are 2 courtyard view rooms that can be adjoined in the Cypress building for larger groups/families. Wharf Master's House is available for those looking for a more sizeable accommodation. All guest rooms feature a private balcony with outdoor seating, most have an eco-friendly fireplace and an oversized jetted tub. Guests have access to our private trailhead, delightful amenities, comfy bedding, cozy accommodations, and an easy walk to the Wharf. Please note that cell phone reception is highly limited on the Coast, and on our property. We encourage you to use this time to disconnect, though wi-fi is available as needed. Please also note that while there are no elevators available on our property, ground floor accessible rooms are available. For groups or special events please contact us directly for rates and availability.

Property information

The sheltered location of the Wharf Master's Inn makes it an ideal destination any time of the year. Most of our rooms feature Eco-friendly fireplaces, jacuzzi, four post beds, private balconies with ocean or garden views, satellite television, and more, making this a very romantic and peaceful get-away! For the convenience of our guests you can purchase local wines, champagne, and cold beverages in the office. The Historic Wharf Master's House was built in 1865. It features many fine architectural detail prevalent in mid-nineteenth century buildings. No expense was spared in the construction of this home as the attention to detail was impeccable, and remains to this day the oldest home in Point Arena. The Wharf Master’s house is a Victorian style house with three bedrooms and four queen size beds that can sleep up to eight, a full kitchen, formal dining room with antique furniture, living room with satellite TV and a spa room with a two person Jacuzzi and gas fireplace. The house has two decks and a private balcony which has a panoramic ocean view.

While staying with us at the Wharf Masters Inn, there is plenty of things to do in and around the area. On the way to Point Arena you will experience breath-taking ocean views, hillsides, beautiful natural landscaping with all kinds of plants, wild flowers, and tall twisted trees. Depending on the season you may come upon deer feeding along side the road, open range cattle, and other small wildlife.
