An incredible opportunity to experience living in a hand sculpted earthen house. It took Kath and Ross a year to self build this cob home on Numbi Valley, a permaculture farm 12km from De Rust. Using only sustainably harvested natural materials and repurposed doors and windows they created this unique space. If you are interested in natural sustainable off grid living, seeing productive organic gardens all in a beautiful valley surrounded by nature, you will love this Air bnb home.
We have been on this beautiful farm for 17 years, growing and supplying organic fruit, veggies and our own extra virgin cold pressed Olive oil to the town of De Rust. Prior to this we managed remote lodges in the beautiful Okavango Delta, Botswana. We recently spent two years in the northern Serengeti, managing a lodge where 1.5 million Wildebeest still follow their ancient migration route. Both of us are passionate about nature and believe in living gently on the earth. We love taking great care of the land hence the practise of Permaculture on our farm. Numbi Valley is a magical place. We would love to share our knowledge on sustainable living and look forward to meeting you.
