There are many amazing things that we enjoy about living and working here, but the best is simply living in a beautiful space, we have coined the term Elgin - the Valley of a Thousand Views! We opened our first cottages in November 2016 and have thoroughly enjoyed welcoming guests onto our farm to share in our piece of paradise.

Property information

Our self-catering accommodation consists of five quaintly decorated farm cottages and one four bedroomed house in tranquil surroundings overlooking spectacular views of the picturesque apple orchards and vineyards that decorate the canvas of our unique Elgin Valley. Whether it is a weekend away, sporting event, wine / food festival, wedding to attend or just an excuse to spend sometime relaxing away from buzzing crowds and modern day 'busyness'...our cottages have been carefully crafted to offer a peaceful sanctuary to rejuvenate replenish the soul and mind. Guests are welcome to join us at our Country Café & Gift Shop at The Cheverells Farm Shed for breakfasts and lunch, open Wed-Sunday from 8am-3pm. There is also a wellness studio with yoga / flexibility morning classes from Tuesday to Friday, and occasionally on weekends. Let us know if you are interested and we can send details. The venue can be booked for functions, get in touch should you require more information. Our farm is conveniently positioned close to major wedding venues, mountain bike adventure trails and trail running sites. Whether you are looking to escape the city for an active weekend spent discovering Elgin Valleys world-class adventure trails and wine-farms and bountiful birdlife or if you are wanting to spend your time relaxing and recharging your batteries by savouring up the fresh country air and overlooking the spectacular views, Cheverells Farm has something for everyone and we look forward to welcoming you to come and enjoy an authentic farm experience!

Neighbourhood information

The Elgin Valley has much to offer for all ages from outdoor activities like hiking through the natural fynbos vegetation to adventurous Ziplining through the mountains. It is the home of many sought after mountain biking trails as well as trail running events. There are also a small variety of restaurants and farmstalls offering the best of locally produced country fare. If quaffing wine while overlooking spectacular scenery of the vineyards and orchards that make up our landscape tickle your fancy, then this is the place for you! Elgin is well known for its cool climate wines that are unique to this area. But whether your preference is being active and adventurous or just coming to relax in peace and lap up the traquility surrounding the apple and pear orchards, you are guaranteed to find something that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and coming back again for more!
