Property information

Doonside Holiday Flats consists of two quaint blocks of flats situated alongside each other and very close to the beach on the South Coast in Doonside, KwaZulu-Natal. Each block consists of four flats, and we use all the flats for self-catering holiday letting. Each flat comprises a fully equipped kitchen with a full complement of cutlery, plates, pots, pans and glassware, a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, and kettle. Features include a spacious main and second bedroom with two large and comfortable single beds in each, all with clean and linen supplied. The bathroom contains a bath and shower, and guests should supply their own towels. The large lounge and dining area is equipped with TV set, and DSTV Decoder set to the Family Bouquet, please do not bring your own decoder. Barbeque/Braai areas within the grounds of each block serve as great informal meeting places for guests, and we also have a large swimming pool with a barbeque area alongside. Our flats are serviced Monday to Friday and on most weekends. The surrounding area and the units themselves are very secure, and our vehicle parking area is within the grounds and very close to the flats.

Neighbourhood information

Doonside is an area between Amanzimtoti and Warner Beach, just 30 minutes' drive from Durban International Airport. The flats face southwards and overlook the lagoon of the Little Amanzimtoti River and the beach towards Warner Beach. From the flats, the beach is just a short walk of about 70 m. The main swimming beach is closest to us, and the rock pool is about 100 m to the south. The beach is equipped with shark nets, life guards and helicopter rescue, as well as tidal pools. Surf and rock fishing are highly rated, and members of Warner Beach Ski Boat Club launch their ski boats from the lagoon. Deep-sea fishing enthusiasts can charter a ride at the club for some real deep-sea action. This beach is also often used for local and international surfing events and fishing competitions. Our main shopping centre is 800 m away, and there are also a number of golf courses in the area; the Di'Vine Driving Range and Restaurant is a short five-minute drive away. Across the road from the driving range is the all new Galleria Shopping Mall where one can take in a movie at one of the 11 movie theatres, dine at many good restaurants, ice-skate, ten-pin bowl and plenty of other activities.
