What an amazing farm. Beautiful location. Sweetest little lambs. Comfortable beds. The Cot house had everything we needed. Haven't seen stars like on the farm in many years! Will def be returning the next time we drive down to the Cape.

The food was excellent, the staff were very accomodating and welcoming, and JP's tours of his fossil and antique collections are well worth the visit. JP even made a special effort to make time to show me around his collections.

Ganora is a working sheep farm with lots more to be experienced by the guests. Our accommodation is in renovated old buildings of the past of the farm like the Old Kraal, Engine, chicken and coal rooms. All is en-suite with showers. Breakfast is included in the price and dinners are available for you to order. the rooms have the general amenities and the larger rooms have gowns and slippers as well. The double/twin rooms have queen sized or twin beds and the larger rooms have king or twin beds. Tea and coffee facilities in all rooms. We have guided tours to: Bushman paintings, Private fossil museum, Fossil walk, Medicinal plant walk & Anglo Boer War story. On your own you can enjoy cycling, hiking and birding or just relaxing in the tranquility of the farm. We have a variety of marked trails. There is also a labyrinth you can experience or enjoy the most beautiful sunsets only the Karoo has to offer. Stargazing is another super experience in the KAroo Heartland region.
I love the farm live and specially the tranquility and peace we can experience in the Karoo . Although I do not have much time I try to paint scenes of the farm as often as I can .
Nieu-Bethesda has so much to offer. This little Hamlet has something for everyone to enjoy. From Helen Martins' famous Owl House , Various Art galleries, Coffee shops, Restaurants, Donkey cart tours, fossil center and even a brewery. Graaff-Reinet is only 60 km from here and has many museums to visit as well as the well known Valley of Desolation in the Camdeboo Park. A Very special place. Mountain Zebra National park is 110 km from here towards Cradock. Cradock is also worth a visit with the Olive Shreiner Museum as a must.
