Bay Tree is situated in the upmarket, conveniently situated subirb of Bailey's Muckleneuk. It is close to Brooklyn Mall with all the major stores an a variety of small boutiques. The Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary with bird viewing and a restaurant, is just three blocks away. Pretoria University is ten minutes walk away and the top English and Afrikaans high schools all in the same vicinity. Three leading is just three km away, hospitals are all within three km for our gate. There is easy access to the N1, N4 and R28, and the Groenkloof Nature Reserve, with the Voortrekker Monument a kilometer further.
Bay Tree is close to the Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary (4 blocks), with a variety of small wildlife and a park area with a children's playground. Magnolia Dell, with its regular crafts market and monthly art market is three blocks away. The Brooklyn Mall shopping centre is six blocks away, with all the major chains and a variety of speciality shops. There are approximately thirty restaurants within a kilometer, ranging from fast food to fine dining and various ethnic eateries. The guest house is perfectly situated for Pretoria University (10 minutes walk) and Unisa (1-2km depending on which campus), SABS (just over 1km to the gate of the training centre) and a number of Embassies and Consulates representing various European, Asiatic and African countries. The safety and security of our guests is a prime consideration and we have followed all the recommendations of security consultants, though the area is as safe as any in South Africa.
