Company information

Hartley Manor was built in 2009 as a semi-retirement project for Nick and Lyn Hartley, offering a tranquil weekend getaway for city folks and convenient accommodation for the wedding venues in the Muldersdrift area. Like many businesses and families, the guest house faced turbulent times during the pandemic. Now under the management of the next generation, we are dedicated to enhancing our guests' experiences and ensuring their stay is memorable.

Property information

Welcome to our charming family run Guest House, nestled within a sprawling 4-hectare working rose nursery. Our property offers a serene escape with beautiful gardens and a delightful main guest area, perfect for relaxation and enjoyment. The main guest area includes a comfortable lounge, a dining area, and a spacious patio where guests can unwind and take in the picturesque surroundings. The property is entirely off-grid, and we have made several eco-friendly adjustments to accommodate our sustainable power supply. Room kettles have been replaced with thermoflasks, and electric heaters have been removed. To ensure your comfort, we provide extra warm blankets and hot water bottles. Guests are welcome to explore the nursery and experience the vibrant colors and fragrances of our roses. Nature enthusiasts will be delighted by the amazing bird life that graces our property, offering a unique opportunity for birdwatching. Our family resides on the property, and we share our home with friendly dogs who mostly keep to themselves but are always happy to make new friends. We invite you to experience the tranquility and natural beauty of our countryside retreat, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of our rose-filled haven.
