Company information

The host and full time onsite manager is Reinhardt Stazsacker. He loves the outdoors and cooking up a storm. The other friendly employees are all from neighboring communities and will welcome you with Namaqualand hospitality. Ask them about "askoek" and "vetkoek" :)

Property information

Jakkalswater is a family friendly farm! Where kids and adults can play and explore to their hearts desire. The property is 800 hectares big and all guests are welcome to cylcle, walk and explore. The guesthouse is nestled in the slopes of granite boulders, where quiver trees overlook the valley and rocky mountains. Jakkalswater is entirely off the grid and green. The incredibly pure (and delicious) water is obtained from a natural underground fountain. Our power is supplied by solar panels and the geysers work with gas. The self catering rooms are renovated and carefully decorated. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom and kitchen will all the necessities. Each of the rooms can accommodate between 2 and 5 guests and is serviced daily. The friendly and hardworking employees are all from neighboring communities and we strive to give each guest a Namaqualand experience they will never forget.

Neighbourhood information

About half of the plant species here, do not occur anywhere else in the world. When the winter rains fall, the farm and surrounding granite boulders, are wrapped in a floral blanket which creates the most beautiful floral spectacle in the world. With nearly 3,000 plant species, including goat bark vygies, daisies, Gazania's, cat tails and so on, the area will amaze you! Guests can walk around the farm and enjoy the scenery. Climb the granite hills and seek out the mysterious Klipspringers and the baboons, who make the mountains their home, or walk in the dry riverbanks, looking for the speckled padloper, while the floral kingdom is admired.
