Omphile has traveled to various countries and loves learning about new cultures, food and lifestyles of the places she visits. She also loves learning something new from her guests, and hearing about their travels. Although she loves to personally meet and chat with each guest, it is not always possible for her as she runs multiple businesses. Her personal touch is offering indigenous tea tasting in the garden after a long day at work for our guests. The team at Monakaladi Gardens is young and vibrant and regularly trained to make your stay a memorable one.

Property information

We offer an authentic village experience with thatched roof cottage accommodation, lush gardens, a swimming pool and braai facilities all for our guests to enjoy. If you have time, you can take a tour through our edible gardens and see if you can identify all the edible plants, trees and shrubs. Guests are welcome to pick some herbs if they need to add to their meals during their self-catering stay.

Neighbourhood information

Monakaladi Gardens is in Dihatshwane Village, 7km from Mahikeng CBD, and just 100m off the R503 freeway. We are very close to the Bophelong Psychiatric Hospital and Rooigrond Correctional Services. Driving along the R503 on your way to us, you may be fortunate to spot some giraffes from Mahikeng Game Reserve which like to come and feed along the fence in the afternoons, you may even stop and take a few pictures if it is safe to do so.
