The name says it all : Nature on your Doorstep. The apartment has beautiful views of the surrounding forest and the ocean. Peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle, but close to restaurants, the beach, and family-friendly activities. The apartment is attached to the host's home, but has its own completely private entrance gate, front door and private patio with braai area. Outside garden area for kids to play, to enjoy the sunset or have a braai. The unit consists of 2 levels with a staircase in between. Upstairs: living room (with DSTV) and second bedroom. Downstairs: main bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and dining room. The bathroom has a bath only, but an outdoor shower (but not open air) with hot water, is perfect for sand-covered beach bodies!
I love welcoming guests from all over the world! I am very passionate about our wonderful little village and it gives me great pleasure to share it with our guests. We love interacting with our guests, but always respect their privacy.
Hoekwil is a beautiful, tranquil little village tucked away in the mountains just a few kilos from Wilderness. It is a nature lovers paradise! Hoekwil offers the perfect combination of mountains, forest, lakes and the ocean. Perfect for running, mountain biking, hiking and bird watching. The Breidel hiking trail is only 150meters from the apartment and the Woodville Big Tree is about 6 km away. Some wonderful local restaurants, cofee shops and a Deli are walking distance from the apartment. Hoeka Toeka pub and restaurant, Hoekwil Country Cafe and Rambling Rose steak restaurant are only 500meters away, and Merhant &Maiden pizzeria is just opposite the street. A wide variety of excellent restaurants can be found in the vibrant village of Wilderness, and the beach is only 6 km away. Hoekwil is very central for exploring the Garden Route (Knysna 35 minutes drive) as well as the Karoo (Oudtshoorn 50 minutes drive).
