About this property

Built in the early 1900s, Sweet Orange is a restored Victorian house 450 metres from the Atlantic Ocean in Sea Point suburb. It features a garden with small pool, indoor and outdoor seating areas and free parking. The individually-designed, spacious rooms have lovingly restored ceilings, doors and wooden floors. Each provides a flat-screen TV, safe and en-suite bathroom with hairdryer. In summer the extensive continental breakfast is taken on the stone terrace by the pool. In winter it is served on the big kitchen table next to the fireplace. Packed lunches are available for trips, which the staff can book on guests’ behalf. Small shops, cafes and restaurants can be found within 10 minutes’ walk and the V&A Waterfront is 6 minutes by car. Sweet Orange Guest House can organise car rental and provide pick-up from Cape Town International Airport, 23 km away.

By honouring the Victorian heritage of the house, and mixing it up with modern design, Sweet Orange will give you a true, colourful and unique Mother City experience. ** From April 2023 there will be construction happening next door to us which will be noisy at times. So if you're an avid traveler who is out most of the day, or a business traveler- then this is the time for you to make use of our discounted prices!
