Company information

We purchased this property in August 2018 and started renovations on the outbuildings. We opened for business in August 2019. We got our rescue donkeys in November 2018 and then came our chickens and finally our goats. Our units are almost 100% up-cycled and we have a full Eco Solar Power system with gas geysers. We try to live off grid as much as possible. We live on the property and have 5 rescue dogs. We so look forward to welcoming you to our unique lofts

Property information

The HAYLOFT, The CROFTERS LOFT, The SHEPHERDS LOFT and The FARRIERS are full self catering cottages set in the spectacular village of central Hilton. We are located close to upmarket schools, restaurants,shopping centres, hospitals, many major sporting events and The Midlands Meander. Just 10 minutes drive to Pietermaritzburg and an hour and a half to King Shaka Airport. We run on a solar system so load shedding does not affect us. Reminiscent of a small Celtic hill farm the external appearance of our extensively upcycled eco-friendly Lofts are spacious, light, stylish with well appointed interiors promoting tranquility. The en-suites contain a walk in shower, basin and loo. The lofts come with a King size bed (The Crofters Loft) and queen sized bed (Hayloft, Farriers and Shepherds Loft). The Farriers also has bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom. Beautiful wood burning fireplaces, gas hobs, quality crockery & utensils, Netflix on a Samsung Smart TV, Wifi and garden area with a Weber braai. Tea, coffee, milk, biscuits/rusks and our 'fresh free-range eggs' are provided. Enjoy a coffee in the garden or cosy up by the fire under Sherpa blankets and a glass of wine.

Hilton is a quaint and quiet village set in the Natal Midlands. We have a wonderful climate from misty days and nights to full sunshine. We are on the Midlands Meander which offers guests a wealth of experiences
